Beautiful Indonesia: A Little Love in the Tegallalang Rice Terraces

The Tegallaland Rice Terraces are some of Bali's most visited rice terraces on the island. A 20 minute ride to the north of Ubud, they are carved into a narrow valley and provide a scenic vista, as well as a nice little hike to the other side. Being that these are working rice fields, visiting them might fall within any stage of the rice growing process. The photos here were taken shortly after a fresh planting and as scenic as the rice terraces in Bali might be, there is a lot of work that goes into maintaining these beautiful agricultural creations. On this particular day there was an older man in a very colorful blue shirt that contrasted beautifuly with the green rice, doing the weeding which made for great photos!
